I'm 14 years old and I started puberty about a year ago, so far since I started my penis has grown 1.5 inches cos now it's 5.5 inches erect, about an inch in girth and my balls have grown to about 10 on the orchidometer. My voice has started squeaking and cracking so its all good except I have hardly any pubes. I probably have like 100 around the base of my penis and they're all about 1/4-1/2 of an inch long. wtf is going on lol I thought you got pubes first. I saw my mate who has same size dick and he has a massive bush that covers the whole area up to his waistline.
You DO have pubes, so you're on track and normal. The AMOUNT you get depends on your genes. Some have thick, dark pubic hair, and some thin and light. Some have hair that covers their entire abdomen, and some just have a tuft right around the base of their penis. What you're describing is perfectly normal and average, while your friend's amount of hair is unusual.
By the way, it's girls' pubic hair that forms a triangle. Guys tend to be more roundish.
