Don't you feel bad for the endangered Skier?
For the past winter season the most snow we have gotten is 4 inches in 2 storms.The rest was 1 inch at a time or rain.Sometimes snow changing into rain.Are you worried of it cold be Global Worming?Or that we are just having a worm winter like in 1974? In 2002 it was a worm winter as well and Salt Lake had to use snow making machines for the Winter Olympics.I will admit for the past 15 years we have had some milled winters compered to the ones we use to get.Back in the 60's a average snow storm was 6 to 8 inches.In 82 and 83 we had such a wet winter the Grate Salt Lake flooded it's shores and washed out the Freeway.Severe Lake was no longer a dry lake and washed out High Way 91.In the 90's 8 to 10 inches a Storm.In 94 the snow was caving in the roofs of houses.
Oh, ya, well check the snow averages for the 50's for the Head of the Lakes. I guess if there's not enough snow, you just don't ski, do you? Not unless you want to endanger yourself. Be adventurous--get some cross country skis or snow shoes and head out to the deep, dark, forest where you can have lots of fun, get fresh air and sunshine. There is usually plenty of snow in the woods. The only problems for YOU might be the following:
1. You will have no audience to show off for.
2. No one will be watching as you arrogantly whip a stack of bills or credit card out of your wallet
to pay your lift ticket fee.
3. You might get lost--it's not "down the hill and up the lift." Out in the woods is no place for sissies or fraidie cats." But it's usually free, quiet and peaceful, beautiful, and an unsurpassed pleasure and privilege to experience.
