please help me with my 2000 dodge intrepid.?
i got a 2.6 liter dodge intrepid 2000 any ways lately i been having problems with it, im parked and sometimes the engines revs up by it self and it stays constant like less than 10 seconds and it goes normal. (this happens very few times)
the other thing and that im worried about is that i change gears either reverse or drive and i tap on the gas and it just wont move i mean the engine revs up but doesnt move and than it works okay. the transmision is good you cant feel the shifts and the engine it does not make a sound i mean nice and quiete.
so please help me cause i dont want to die any time soon or kill anybody cause the car is acting up. what can it be?
the engine should be the 2.7 that your talking about ,on the idle part if it check the throttle position sensor, that will make the idle go up and down on it and so will bad idle air control valve,on the transmission part check the fluid and make sure its not got a burnt smell to it and and make sure its full and not discolored,if it is have it changed and that may take care of it,if you,ll take it by any transmission shop they will test drive it and tell you whats wrong with it ,and its free,good luck on it.
